Job Summary
The Software Development Manager is a critical role in our expanding IT department in Mumbai. As we enhance our software development capabilities, this position will focus on modernizing Medpace’s clinical and administrative software. The role involves overseeing the software development process to ensure that we deliver effective, high-quality solutions that empower both internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Team Management: Oversee software engineers and software development projects to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Requirements Gathering: Collect, analyze, and document user requirements.
- Project Management: Perform project management tasks, ensure system quality, and manage content.
- Coordination: Collaborate with company-wide leadership on software development projects.
- Software Development: Design, modify, develop, support, install, and document software applications.
- Quality Control: Participate in software quality control and validation processes, including development, code reviews, and execution of test plans/cases/scripts.
- Training: Provide training for software engineers and end users.
- Process Improvement: Identify process deficiencies and propose improvements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience: Eight years of software development experience, with at least three years in a project lead role.
- Skills:
- Experience in project management, execution, and delivery to customers.
- Direct management experience with a development team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including .NET and SQL Server.
- Experience with web-based technologies such as Angular.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills in English.
- Preferred knowledge of Azure and SharePoint technologies.
- Experience in a clinical or regulated environment is a plus.
