Role Overview:
Hiring a Manual QA Engineer with 1 to 2 years of hands-on software testing experience.
Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle), and defect lifecycle is required.
Responsible for manual testing of web and mobile applications to ensure functionality and performance meet requirements.
Familiarity with automation tools is an advantage and may lead to future test automation opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Review requirements and collaborate with developers and product managers to create effective test cases.
Perform manual testing on web and mobile applications, APIs, and backend systems.
Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA, Trello, or other bug tracking systems.
Conduct functional, UI, smoke, regression, and cross-browser/device testing.
Validate user flows, edge cases, and system behavior under various conditions.
Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
Prepare clear test reports and contribute actively to improving QA processes.
Optionally, assist in creating and executing basic automation test scripts if skilled.
Required Skills:
1–2 years of experience in manual software testing.
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test case development, and bug lifecycle management.
Experience testing both web and mobile applications.
Familiarity with tools like Postman, JIRA, TestRail, or similar test management tools.
Basic understanding of REST APIs and API testing.
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred / Bonus Skills:
Exposure to Selenium, Cypress, or any other test automation frameworks.
Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Python, or Java.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
