Job Description:
Position Summary: The MI System Administrator is part of the Medical Information System Administrator Team, performing MI database administration activities. Responsibilities include first-line user support, troubleshooting, database instance creation and upgrades, change control, data migration, and user training on MI databases.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of MI Libraries
- System validation activities
- Database interrogation and output generation for internal and client use
- Training and database access provision for internal and client users
Principal Functions for the Client:
- Project-Specific MI Database Configurations
- Setup and maintenance
- Documenting and validating changes
- Support during legacy data transfer
- Provide guidance during project-specific data handling guideline development
- Prepare line listings, tabulations, and other database outputs
- Provide MI processing metrics for invoicing
- MI database training for clients
- Documenting and providing client/internal team access upon approved request
Responsibilities for the Company:
- User Access Coordination
- Maintenance and revoking of access
- Maintain database procedures including core data handling conventions
- Database training and certification for users
- Provide user support
- Root cause investigation for database-related deviations
- Identify improvement areas and address via training or updated guidelines
- Execute business continuity periodic testing for database failure
- Implement software fixes and enhancements as required
Supportive Responsibilities:
- Assist senior management as needed
- Potentially provide chargeable consulting/training activities to clients regarding MI databases
Qualifications:
- Educated to degree standard
- Demonstrated work experience within MI Systems
