Roles and Responsibilities
Data Collection and Management
1 Collect daily, weekly, and monthly data from various departments including production, warehouse, merchandising, and sales.
2 Maintain accurate, up-to-date databases using Excel, ERP, or MIS software.
3 Ensure consistency and integrity of data across all reports.
Report Generation
1 Prepare and distribute reports such as sales, inventory, production status, costing, and budget reports.
2 Develop daily and monthly MIS dashboards.
3 Customize reports as per requirements from management or specific departments.
Data Analysis
1 Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
2 Create summaries and graphical presentations to aid decision-making.
3 Alert relevant teams about anomalies or deviations in performance.
Department Support
1 Provide data-related assistance to sales, accounts, and production departments as needed.
Automation and Process Improvement
1 Automate repetitive reporting tasks using Excel macros and pivot tables.
2 Propose improvements in data entry and reporting processes to increase efficiency.
Documentation and Filing
1 Maintain both digital and physical filing of reports and records.
2 Ensure regular backup of critical data.
Coordination
1 Coordinate with internal teams to gather data and resolve discrepancies.
2 Act as a liaison between departments for MIS-related communication.
Technical Skills Required
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts, and Formulas.
Working knowledge of ERP or MIS software such as SAP or Tally.
Basic understanding of Power BI or Google Data Studio is preferred but optional.
Good typing speed and documentation skills.
Soft Skills Required
High accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Experience Required
2 to 3 years of relevant experience in MIS or data-related roles.
