Your Role: Operational Excellence Manager
As an Operational Excellence Manager, you will be the driving force behind continuous improvement across multiple departments. You will lead transformational projects, foster a culture of operational excellence, and mentor teams to implement Lean & Six Sigma concepts. Your expertise will help achieve cost, quality, service, and safety improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute strategies and measure performance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop Operational Excellence Strategy: Design and implement mechanisms to improve the OpEx culture, aligning with long-term strategy and engaging operations leaders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teams across manufacturing, engineering, quality, distribution, and supply chain to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Leadership: Lead improvement projects, mentor Black Belts/Green Belts, and ensure consistency in quality project deliverables through the Leadership Steering Committee.
- Reporting & Communication: Publish monthly OpEx reports, including scorecards and presentations, and coordinate monthly review meetings with leadership.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead RCA sessions and help teams with process mapping, VSM, and statistical analysis.
- Training & Mentorship: Conduct LSS/TPM training for project teams and mentor project leads.
- Best Practices: Capture and share best practices with site teams and across other sites, conducting gap analyses to identify and drive OpEx projects.
Skills & Competencies
- Leadership: Inspirational leadership with a proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams.
- Project Management: Expertise in leading and implementing successful projects.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong vision and direction for change management and operational improvement.
- Communication: Excellent presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
- Lean & Six Sigma Knowledge: Proficiency in VSM, TPM, Six Sigma analytical tools, and other Lean methodologies.
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or B.Tech/Engineering.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in operational excellence or continuous improvement roles, preferably in Healthcare, Pharma, FMCG, or Chemicals.
- Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
- Industry Expertise: Experience in production system deployment and driving Lean initiatives.
