Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced IT Specialist with strong expertise in Oracle Change Data Capture (CDC), Apache Kafka, and Docker containers.
The candidate will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust real-time data integration pipelines.
The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, accuracy, and optimal performance of data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and manage Oracle CDC for capturing real-time data changes using tools like LogMiner and XStreams API.
Design, create, and maintain Kafka topics and event streams to enable seamless data flows.
Deploy, monitor, and manage Kafka connectors inside Docker containers.
Optimize performance of data pipelines and streaming services for reliability and throughput.
Collaborate with engineering, database, and infrastructure teams to ensure data pipeline scalability and integrity.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real-time streaming environments and containerized platforms.
Implement Java monitoring solutions using JMX to track Kafka connector performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years of total IT experience, with at least 5 years working on Oracle CDC.
Deep expertise in Oracle CDC technologies including LogMiner and XStreams.
Strong experience with Apache Kafka, including topic design and event stream configuration.
Proven ability to deploy and manage Kafka connectors within Docker containers.
Proficient in Java-based monitoring using JMX.
Skilled in troubleshooting and optimizing streaming pipelines under production workloads.
Familiarity with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration tools is considered a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS.
Knowledge of additional data streaming or integration tools.
Scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar languages for automation tasks.
