About the Team
The KYC team is responsible for onboarding merchants in accordance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies, including checks against negative lists. The team ensures compliance with AML standards and promotes a robust risk and control framework.
About the Role
As a Senior Executive – KYC Analyst, you will handle the end-to-end onboarding of merchants and ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal policies. Your role is critical in verifying customer information, assessing risk, and upholding KYC/AML standards across merchant accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Verify data submitted by customers during the onboarding process.
Perform due diligence on both new and existing clients, spanning various business types including listed, regulated, private/public companies, partnerships, and proprietorships.
Ensure all KYC documentation complies with company policies and regulatory standards.
Conduct risk assessments of customers in line with internal compliance protocols.
Manage the New Client Adoption and Periodic Review process to ensure timely approvals.
Ensure all service-level agreements (SLAs) on accuracy and turnaround time are met.
Monitor and manage exceptions, addressing issues in a timely and compliant manner.
Requirements
2–5+ years of relevant experience in AML, KYC, or compliance roles, preferably in banks, financial institutions, or KPOs.
Strong understanding of controls, compliance protocols, investigations, and follow-up procedures.
Familiarity with RBI AML/KYC regulations and related guidelines.
Ability to interpret regulatory directives and assess entity types and risk scores.
Proficiency in identifying suspicious patterns, inconsistencies, and alerts.
In-depth understanding of the full KYC lifecycle, including documentation, review, and risk categorization.
