Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with strong SQL skills and passion for transforming data into actionable business insights.
Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development using Power BI.
Proficiency in writing complex and optimized SQL queries is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations that meet business requirements.
Write efficient and scalable SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
Develop and maintain data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query (M) scripts.
Build and manage ETL pipelines as needed to support data workflows.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all BI reports and dashboards.
Perform performance tuning for Power BI reports and SQL queries to optimize responsiveness.
Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and other teams to integrate Power BI into the organization’s data ecosystem.
Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI services, including gateway setup and scheduled data refreshes.
Document BI solutions, processes, and best practices for ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
At least 5 years of experience writing SQL queries for data querying and manipulation.
3 to 5 years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
Strong expertise in data modeling, DAX formulas, and Power Query (M language).
Experience working with relational database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
Good understanding of data warehousing principles and ETL processes.
Knowledge of data governance and security best practices in Power BI.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
