Job Summary
Cognizant is looking for a highly experienced Principal Infra Developer with strong expertise in Ansible and Python to join our hybrid development team. This senior-level role will focus on developing scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure automation solutions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about infrastructure-as-code and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible and Python.
Create and maintain efficient automation scripts to reduce manual operations and improve reliability.
Architect infrastructure systems that align with business requirements and growth plans.
Collaborate with DevOps, security, and engineering teams to ensure seamless deployment pipelines.
Conduct performance tuning and system optimization for high availability and scalability.
Enforce and implement best security practices to safeguard infrastructure and data assets.
Produce and maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation and SOPs.
Audit infrastructure regularly for compliance with standards and governance policies.
Lead and mentor junior developers and infrastructure engineers.
Stay up-to-date with infrastructure trends, technologies, and DevOps methodologies.
Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
Engage with stakeholders to gather infrastructure requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
10–12 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure development.
Deep expertise in Ansible automation and Python scripting.
Strong analytical and debugging skills for troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues.
Proficient in designing scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience working with hybrid cloud environments is a plus.
Solid understanding of security protocols, encryption, and compliance standards.
Ability to mentor junior team members and lead infrastructure initiatives.
Proven ability to collaborate across teams and departments effectively.
Red Hat and Python certifications are mandatory for this position.
