Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant – Cognos Developer with a strong background in BI reporting, performance tuning, and dashboard creation. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of Cognos reports and queries and collaborate with global teams and international clients.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of Cognos reports and dashboards.
Act as an individual contributor and mentor to junior Cognos team members when required.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders from requirement gathering to production deployment.
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar databases.
Perform performance tuning for SQL-based and Cognos reports.
Participate in regular code reviews and solution design discussions.
Skills and Requirements
Education:
BE/BTech in Computer Science/Engineering or MCA.
Experience:
5–10 years of hands-on experience with Cognos Report Development, Query Studio, and dashboard creation.
Expertise in writing efficient SQL queries in Oracle or PostgreSQL.
Experience working with international clients and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
ETL tool knowledge is a plus.
Strong team player and proactive collaborator.
