Your Role and Responsibilities
Analysts engage in risk, compliance, and financial crimes projects serving Promontory (PRR) clients in the banking and finance industry, helping them meet and exceed regulatory expectations.
Analysts contribute to success in areas such as BSA, anti-money laundering surveillance and reporting, OFAC sanctions compliance, and other critical regulatory areas.
Analysts must possess excellent writing, research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, along with a strong work ethic and natural curiosity.
Analysts must analyze, assess, and write clearly and concisely.
The role requires flexibility, learning new skills, meeting tight deadlines, uncompromising quality standards, and teamwork in a dynamic environment.
Apply logic and reasoning to conduct research for case analysis.
Use sound decision-making to make recommendations based on research.
Compose comprehensive supporting narratives.
Interpret and apply project policies and procedures to guide work.
Maintain high-quality work as per project specifications.
Ensure adherence to engagement policies and procedures.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
2 to 3 years prior AML (Anti-Money Laundering) experience is required.
2+ years compliance experience at a financial institution is strongly preferred.
Retail banking experience is preferred.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to change.
Ability to quickly understand and maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations, concepts, and issues.
Ability to quickly learn new applications and client systems to conduct research.
Exercise sound judgment and maintain the highest confidentiality.
Skilled at multitasking and meeting deadlines in high-pressure environments.
Results-oriented team player with strong initiative and flexibility.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Superior writing skills to convey ideas clearly and succinctly.

Exceptional research and data processing skills to analyze large datasets and identify higher risk attributes (transactional, geographical, product, customer type, etc.) and take appropriate actions.
Competent with computers, proficient in Microsoft Office, and experienced with various database and testing systems.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the job level.
