Role Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for interpreting customer requirements and translating them into metering and control system designs. This includes PLC programming, configuration, documentation, testing, peer reviewing, and occasional on-site commissioning for oil and gas applications. You will report directly to the Project Engineer Lead.
Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and coordinate assigned engineering work to produce documentation as per contract SDRL requirements.
Generate project documents such as SBD, FDS, ATM, OMM, SAT, Loop Diagrams, and General Arrangements within agreed timelines.
Create or revise Metering Computer or Supervisory configurations based on experience and qualifications.
Take full engineering ownership when assigned to small-scale projects.
Perform peer checks on team members’ outputs where technically qualified.
Interpret client specifications and industry codes to produce accurate technical outputs.
Ensure approved documents are recorded and controlled in line with project requirements.
Conduct factory acceptance tests (FATs) and host client witness testing.
Log issues into the company's MIS system using Systems Problem Reports (SPR).
Ensure tight change control with proper communication to the Project Lead before executing any variations.
Attend client/vendor meetings and liaise on technical matters to meet project goals.
Support the sales team with technical tenders and exception documentation.
Promote compliance with Sensia’s quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Follow all company standard operating procedures.
Perform additional duties as reasonably expected by the employer.

Qualifications and Experience
Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline. HNC/HND may be considered with relevant experience.
Experience in designing and implementing Metering Computer & Software Systems or Control/Instrumentation Systems.
Hands-on experience with platforms like Emerson, Omni, FlowX, EXI, Honeywell (DCS/MeterSuite), CiTECT, GeM, and PLCs.
Background in multi-discipline engineering projects in the oil and gas domain.
Customer-facing experience and a general awareness of metering systems in the oil and gas industry.
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential.
