Job Summary

Sensia is hiring a Project Engineer to support control systems engineering for oil and gas automation projects. This role will be responsible for designing and testing control software, developing technical documentation, and ensuring systems comply with industrial standards. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation platforms and FactoryTalk software.


What You Will Need (Essential Qualifications)

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science with a focus on Automation & Control (e.g., Electrical, Instrumentation).

  2. 5–6 years of relevant experience in industrial automation.

  3. Strong technical background in control systems, instrumentation, or validation engineering across various industries.

  4. Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and FactoryTalk software.

  5. Experience with Rockwell Automation platforms is a significant advantage.

  6. Demonstrated ability to analyze and troubleshoot control systems.

  7. Excellent documentation and report-writing skills.

  8. Comfortable collaborating with diverse and cross-functional teams.

  9. Proactive mindset with a development-focused approach to daily tasks.

  10. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.


What You Will Do (Responsibilities)

  1. Work as part of a project team developing oil and gas control solutions using Rockwell Automation platforms.

  2. Design and test control system software including

  3. Prepare detailed design and qualification documents.

  4. Ensure all automation systems and documentation meet industry standards.

  5. Develop technical expertise in

  6. Work with communication protocols such as DeviceNet, ControlNet, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP.

  7. Support team troubleshooting and optimization activities during design and deployment phases.
