Job Summary
Sensia, a world leader in oilfield automation and real-time control solutions, is looking for a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our on-site team in Pune, India. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing complex system requirements for high-impact automation projects across the energy sector.
Backed by Rockwell Automation and Schlumberger, Sensia integrates cutting-edge IoT, control systems, and instrumentation software to optimize production, processing, and transportation in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities
Design and define complex system architectures based on customer specifications and operational requirements.
Analyze existing systems and conduct feasibility studies to support upgrades or new implementations.
Determine system parameters, including input/output processes and hardware/software compatibility.
Coordinate the design and integration of subsystems into fully functional end-to-end systems.
Identify and troubleshoot system performance issues, deficiencies, and bottlenecks.
Recommend and implement corrective actions and optimization strategies.
Work closely with engineering, QA, and technical teams to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.
Ensure documentation, configuration management, and client communication are aligned with industry standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Instrumentation Engineering.
3–6 years of hands-on experience in control systems engineering, system integration, or similar project-based roles.
Strong understanding of real-time systems, PLC/SCADA, embedded systems, or automation protocols.
Experience in systems analysis, troubleshooting, and technical solution delivery.
Knowledge of industrial communication standards and hardware/software interfacing.
Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, solution-driven approach.
Experience in the oil & gas or industrial automation domain is a plus.
