Job Summary
Sensia, the world's first integrated oilfield automation solutions provider, is hiring a Project Engineer for its hybrid office in Pune, India. This role is central to designing and implementing advanced Metering Supervisory Computer (MSC) and Flow Computer systems, ensuring engineering compliance and excellence across real-time industrial control systems.
With backing from Rockwell Automation and Schlumberger, you’ll engage in cutting-edge projects that optimize the oil and gas industry through seamless digitalization and automation.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret customer requirements and technical specifications to design system solutions.
Plan and coordinate engineering work for control and metering systems (MSC, PLC).
Develop project documentation including SBD, FDS, SAT, I&C Manuals, Loop Diagrams, etc.
Create or modify metering computer and PLC configurations when qualified.
Peer review and test systems developed by team members.
Ensure compliance with engineering codes, customer standards, and documentation protocols.
Lead technical execution for small-scale projects when assigned.
Participate in system factory acceptance tests (FAT) and onsite commissioning when required.
Track and log system problem reports (SPRs) in the company’s MIS database.
Manage change control procedures in collaboration with Project Engineers or Managers.
Attend technical meetings (e.g., KoM) and engage vendors for solution validation.
Support sales teams in technical tenders and offer preparation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Degree (or HND/HNC) in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
Experience in designing and implementing Metering Computer systems or Control/Instrumentation systems.
Familiarity with one or more platforms:
Emerson, Omni, FlowX, EXI, Honeywell (DCS/MeterSuite)Experience working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
Awareness of oil & gas industry systems and metering compliance.
Strong command of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Commercial and contractual understanding is a plus.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
