Job Description: Application Lead
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Application Lead to spearhead the design, development, and configuration of applications. This role will involve leading efforts, building data engineering pipelines, and serving as the primary point of contact for application-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Engineering Pipelines: Develop and maintain robust data engineering pipelines using Python.
- API Development: Build and manage APIs using Python frameworks such as Flask or Django.
- SQL and Data Warehousing: Work with SQL to interact with and manage data warehouses.
- Version Control and Cloud Services: Utilize Git for version control and AWS services such as S3, CodeCommit, and EMR for cloud-based tasks.
Technical Skills:
- Python Programming: Proficiency in Python, including experience with PySpark.
- Big Data and Data Warehousing: Understanding of Big Data concepts and data warehousing principles.
- ETL Pipelines: Experience in building and managing ETL pipelines using Python.
- SQL: Strong knowledge of SQL for database interactions and optimizations.
- REST APIs and Microservices: Familiarity with REST API and microservices architectures is a plus.
- Automation Testing: Experience with Python-based automation testing frameworks like Pytest is advantageous.
