Job Summary
Cognizant is looking for a Senior Python Developer with extensive experience in Generative AI (GenAI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Large Language Models (LLMs). This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work under CES AI Science Leads, tackling real-world ESG business problems through advanced data science and ML/NLP technologies.
This position is ideal for professionals passionate about cutting-edge AI research, applying LLMs, and building robust RAG pipelines to solve complex language and document processing tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with ESG stakeholders to define data-driven solutions to business problems.
Audit various CES department text datasets to uncover analytical opportunities.
Prepare high-quality training datasets specific to ESG domains.
Apply and implement advanced NLP techniques and models to solve real-world challenges.
Design and deploy multi-agent retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines using LLMs.
Stay abreast of emerging AI/NLP research and integrate them into scalable solutions.
Work closely with innovation leads to drive data science deliverables with business value.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in machine learning, GenAI, and Python programming.
Strong background in NLP/LLMs including tokenization, embeddings, transformers, attention mechanisms, etc.
Proven experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLflow, and SciKit-Learn.
Proficient in OCR and Machine Translation for complex document handling (PDF, Word, scanned files).
Strong understanding of text analytics including lemmatization, stemming, POS tagging, NER, word2vec, etc.
Experience building scalable NLP/ML applications using Flask, object-oriented Python, and CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with Apache Spark, PySpark, and parallel processing tools.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced research-oriented environment.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ESG-related datasets or domain knowledge is a plus.
Exposure to PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and data ingestion pipelines.
Experience working in hybrid cloud environments with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
