Role Overview
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of financial software applications.
You will design and execute test strategies, automate test scripts, and work collaboratively with development teams to enhance product performance and reliability.
This role demands strong analytical, communication, and technical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Create test cases from product specifications and execute them effectively.
Maintain and configure testing environments, including personal and team test setups.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts.
Execute test plans, analyze results, and document defects with precision.
Work closely with developers to reproduce, track, and resolve issues.
Review documentation and ensure completeness and accuracy.
Support pre-release software testing and validation processes.
Create and run SQL scripts for data validation.
Provide accurate estimates for testing efforts.
Continuously improve testing processes and tools.
Technical Requirements
2–6 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
Experience in the software or financial services industry is preferred.
Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL scripting.
Working knowledge of automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.) is preferred.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Solid understanding of QA methods, SDLC, and testing best practices.
Ability to write clear documentation for test plans, cases, and results.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Effective verbal and written communication with cross-functional teams.
