Role Description & Responsibilities

Perform quality assessments to ensure DS products meet quality criteria.

Validate new functionality specifications for completeness and compliance with DS standards.

Define functional testing scenarios:
Create use cases (customer scenarios) for functionalities to be tested.
Base scenarios on industrialization strategy and function specifications.
Share scenarios with development teams for validation.

Manage and publish test results:
Communicate quality status.
Define recovery plans with development teams.
Escalate issues and priority arbitration to stakeholders and management.
Participate in Go/No Go decisions.

Monitor and control testing processes:
Steer QA activities and quality improvements.
Track execution of the industrialization plan across defined gates.
Capitalize on customer-reported incidents to improve testing processes.

Execute testing:
Run acceptance, convergence, and non-regression scenarios across environments.
Identify, qualify, and document bugs and non-conformities.
Prioritize corrections and provide quality status.

Plan convergence and non-regression tests:
Compile and arbitrate scenarios.
Plan time, resources, and activities through development cycle gates.
Optimize QA costs.

Operations and reporting:
Prepare comprehensive test reports for the development team.
Collaborate with QA, development, operations, and define teams to address challenges.

Automation:
Automate test scenarios/test cases using enablers from software engineers.
Replay automation test scripts, analyze results, and report status.
Leverage user feedback to enhance test effectiveness.

Execute non-functional tests:
Performance, capacity, scalability tests.
Security tests (guided by security team).
Installation and upgrade tests.
Qualifications
-
Education: B.E./B.Tech. from premier institutions with at least 60% throughout academics and no gaps.

Technical skills:
UI automation (Selenium, Core Java, JavaScript, Python)
API testing
Manual testing

Good to have:
Experience with performance and usability testing
Familiarity with testing processes and toolsExposure to R&D methods and tools
Understanding of user experience and ergonomics
