Dell Technologies is hiring a Security Automation Engineer to join its Security & Resiliency organization. In this critical role, you will design and implement scalable automated solutions to improve detection, prevention, and response to security threats. You will collaborate across DevOps, IT, Product Security, and Engineering teams to build resilient and intelligent automation pipelines in both cloud and on-premises environments.
Design, implement, and maintain scalable security automation systems across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.
Build, enhance, and manage automated workflows and orchestration tools to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls and capabilities directly into engineering and DevOps workflows.
Advocate and drive adoption of automation-first approaches to security across the organization.
Develop and maintain documentation such as runbooks, playbooks, architecture diagrams, and automation logic.
Troubleshoot, test, and optimize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible) across Linux and Windows environments.
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages: Python, PowerShell, Bash, TypeScript/Node.js.
Experience with Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and at least one public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with automation tools such as PowerAutomate, ServiceNow, and principles of IaC, Policy-as-Code, and Configuration-as-Code.
Skilled in using RESTful APIs and integrating third-party security tools through webhooks and APIs.
Practical experience with IaC scanning and guardrail tools such as Checkov, tfsec, OPA/Conftest.
Working knowledge of Go or Java and secure coding best practices in multi-language environments.
Exposure to AI/LLM platforms and experience integrating intelligent agent-driven security automation.
Strong documentation and system architecture skills with a focus on security resilience.
