Cognizant is hiring experienced Security Engineers skilled in cloud security, automation, and security tooling.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CASB, Crowdstrike, and automation using Python in SOC environments.
This role demands a solid understanding of security operations, cloud infrastructure, and advanced threat monitoring tools.
Handle service requests and incidents coming from the Security Operations Center (SOC).
Perform log analysis and troubleshooting across various cloud and security platforms.
Administer and manage CASB tools and endpoint protection platforms like Crowdstrike.
Work with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
Automate security operations workflows using Python and SOAR platforms (e.g., XSOAR).
Participate in change management and lifecycle operations for security configurations.
Analyze and optimize cloud networking and container security (Kubernetes, VMs, etc.).
Coordinate with the security team for continuous testing and troubleshooting of tools.
Ensure proactive response to potential security threats by enhancing automation and visibility.
Document processes and collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous improvement.
Strong experience in Python scripting for automation in a security context.
Proficiency with CASB, Crowdstrike, and Netskope platforms.
Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms including GCP, AWS, and Azure.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Terraform, and IaC principles.
Experience using SOC tools such as Chronicle, Jira, Proofpoint, and XSOAR.
Clear understanding of cloud networking, containers, VMs, and infrastructure components.
Proven track record in incident management and security change lifecycle handling.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
Prior experience working in a SOC or cyber incident response team.
Exposure to threat intelligence, SIEM tools, and automation pipelines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to document and present findings clearly.
Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, or other security compliance frameworks.
Cloud certifications like AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or GCP Security.
