Job Overview
ApplogiQ is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant Developer with deep expertise in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Azure AI Search, and Azure OpenAI services. This role is ideal for professionals who have a strong foundation in software engineering and want to lead the development of enterprise-grade AI applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable AI-powered applications using RAG, Azure AI Search, and Azure OpenAI.
Architect solutions that integrate large language models (LLMs) with enterprise data sources securely and efficiently.
Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to ensure proper unit testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
Build and manage secure, high-performance APIs to serve AI models and services.
Implement prompt engineering strategies using vector databases and embeddings for optimized results.
Maintain code quality by ensuring reusability, maintainability, and performance.
Troubleshoot and debug technical issues across the full software development lifecycle.
Mentor junior developers and participate in regular code reviews and best practices discussions.
Explore innovative features using Copilot Studio and integrate where applicable.
Required Skills
Strong experience in the following technologies and concepts:
RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) frameworks
Azure AI Search and Cognitive Search
Azure OpenAI (text completion, embeddings, GPT models)
Proficient in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, C#, Node.js
Solid knowledge of:
RESTful APIs and JSON
Azure SDKs
Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
Sound understanding of software engineering best practices, including:
Unit testing (e.g., PyTest, MSTest, NUnit)
Version control strategies (branching, pull requests)
Automated deployment and monitoring
Understanding of cloud security, API management, and governance practices.
Familiarity with Copilot Studio and Power Platform AI Builder (preferred, not mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications
Azure certifications such as Azure AI Engineer Associate or Azure Developer Associate.
Experience with vector databases like FAISS, Pinecone, or Azure-native vector search tools.
Exposure to deploying and fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) in enterprise environments.
