Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable ETL processes using AWS Glue Studio to meet business requirements.
- Oversee the implementation of data pipelines and workflows in AWS Glue ETL to ensure efficient data processing.
- Provide expertise in managing and optimizing AWS Glue Catalog for metadata management and data discovery.
- Utilize Amazon S3 for secure and efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Implement and optimize data processing tasks using Apache Spark for large datasets.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to maintain data quality and integrity.
- Ensure strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and queries.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
- Participate in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data engineering and AWS technologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices and processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in AWS Glue Studio, AWS Glue ETL, and AWS Glue Catalog.
- Extensive experience with Amazon S3 for data storage and retrieval.
- Expertise in Apache Spark for data processing and analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with data governance and security practices.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and adopting new technologies.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
