Role Overview
Mastercard is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to join the Data & Analytics team. This role will lead the design and implementation of end-to-end solutions using Reltio, Databricks, and cloud technologies to unify and optimize data from disparate sources. The position is crucial in delivering high-impact data-driven solutions for Mastercard's global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with multiple internal teams to implement end-to-end customer lifecycle solutions.
Build solutions using Reltio, Databricks, and Big Data technologies for data blending, transformation, and unification.
Design system architecture, data models, and data flow diagrams.
Integrate data from Salesforce, Big Data platforms, and SQL Server into unified, trusted datasets.
Ensure performance tuning and optimization of Reltio and associated pipelines.
Apply best practices in data governance, data quality, and data migration.
Work with tools like Tableau and PowerBI for data visualization and insights.
Utilize ETL pipelines and APIs for cloud-based data integrations.
Communicate and translate technical solutions to business and technical stakeholders.
Participate in fast-paced agile teams and contribute both independently and collaboratively.
Technical Requirements
5+ years of experience with Python, Spark, Hive, Impala, Hadoop, and SQL.
1+ year of experience in Reltio with end-to-end implementation experience.
Familiarity with RIH, data pipelines, data cleansing, and governance concepts.
Experience in data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
Knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud data platforms preferred.
Strong understanding of SaaS-based integration, API, and ETL processes.
