Dell Technologies is looking for a Senior Principal Software Engineer – IT to join its elite engineering team in Bangalore. In this high-impact role, you will lead the development, automation, and operation of cloud-native platforms and services. You will work with modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Cloud Foundry, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability in enterprise-scale environments.
Create automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines to enable cloud features and infrastructure visibility.
Deploy and manage open-source tools and services across hybrid or public cloud platforms.
Design and maintain Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) systems, particularly Cloud Foundry.
Handle Docker container orchestration on Kubernetes platforms.
Monitor and manage the health, performance, and scalability of cloud and legacy systems.
Manage infrastructure components including TLS certificates, load balancers, DNS, firewalls, and reverse proxies.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams for system reliability.
8 to 12+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering and IT operations.
Strong proficiency in Linux systems, networking, and storage fundamentals.
Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes administration, RBAC, Pod Security, Helm, Istio, and NGINX ingress.
Programming and scripting experience in Shell, Python, or Ansible (must be proficient in at least one).
Solid understanding of infrastructure services including GIT, DNS, TLS certs, firewalls, and HA/DR architecture.
Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) platforms.
Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills across distributed systems.
