The Merchant Experience Team at PayU is at the forefront of building holistic, scalable, and intuitive experiences for our merchant partners. This team is responsible for managing every touchpoint in the merchant lifecycle—from onboarding to engagement, retention, and upsell/cross-sell—ensuring seamless, delightful interactions across our suite of payment solutions.


About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Product Manager – Merchant Management to lead the end-to-end product roadmap that elevates how merchants interact with PayU. You’ll drive innovation, identify experience gaps, collaborate cross-functionally, and own measurable impact on core merchant metrics such as activation, retention, success rates, reconciliation, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Own and deliver the complete product roadmap to improve the merchant journey and platform usability.

  2. Analyze product usage data to identify friction points and build roadmap items to improve core KPIs.

  3. Enhance the developer, merchant, and payer experiences via thoughtful product flows and interfaces.

  4. Solve for key operational metrics including TAT (Turnaround Time), reconciliation accuracy, success rate improvements, etc.

  5. Build world-class onboarding, self-service, and support tools in collaboration with Engineering and Design.

  6. Collaborate across Marketing, Business, Sales, Support, and Data Science teams to ensure alignment and adoption.

  7. Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and positioning to develop differentiating features.

  8. Champion a data-first culture, democratizing product success metrics across teams and dashboards.

  9. Lead cross-functional go-to-market plans and be a merchant-first thinker in every decision.

  10. "Own the outcome" — measure what matters, iterate continuously, and prioritize impact.


Requirements

  1. 5–7 years of experience in product management; minimum 3+ years building B2B or merchant-facing UX.

  2. Demonstrated ownership of scalable, mission-critical product flows in fintech or SaaS businesses.

  3. Strong stakeholder collaboration experience across Sales, Engineering, Customer Success, and Support.

  4. Hands-on experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics, Amplitude, or Mixpanel.

  5. Expertise in responsive UX, self-serve flows, and web/mobile product development.

  6. Experience with merchant dashboards, payouts, onboarding, or reconciliation is highly desirable.

  7. Excellent communication, planning, and documentation skills.

  8. Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or related; MBA is a plus.

  9. Working knowledge of the payments industry and familiarity with APIs, integrations, and success metrics.
