As a Senior QA Engineer II – SSIS, you will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality data pipelines and integrations within o9’s AI-powered planning platform.
You will lead the testing efforts for ETL workflows using SSIS, Hadoop, and other technologies in a fast-paced, agile product environment.
Design comprehensive test cases covering all basic, alternate, and exception scenarios based on business requirements and user stories.
Identify testing gaps and enhance test coverage across the data lifecycle.
Perform DWH and ETL testing using tools such as SSIS, Hadoop, or equivalent.
Set up SSIS batches in QA environments and automate functional/regression test runs using Jenkins.
Modify complex ETL jobs to replicate real-time scenarios in test environments.
Execute backend data validations and automate repetitive data testing processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple projects and releases.
6+ years of hands-on experience in ETL Testing, with expertise in SSIS and Hadoop workflows.
Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in SQL, Hive, and NoSQL databases.
Proficient in scripting languages such as UNIX, Shell, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Familiarity with DevOps automation using Jenkins.
Experience in functional, integration, system, and regression testing types.
Knowledge of software configuration management tools like Git or TFS.
Expertise in writing and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
Hands-on experience in executing manual test cases and validating ETL jobs through scripting.
Experience working in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) domain is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree (B.E.) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
