Job Summary
We’re looking for a highly motivated Senior Quality Engineer – Data to join our QA Engineering team at PayU. If you have hands-on experience with ETL testing, Data Warehousing (DW), Business Intelligence (BI) validation, SQL scripting, and Python-based test automation, this role is for you.
As part of a dynamic Agile QA team, you’ll help ensure the reliability, accuracy, and quality of PayU’s data pipelines and reporting systems, playing a critical role in validating the heart of our fintech operations.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct ETL, Data Warehouse (DW), and Business Intelligence (BI) testing for high-volume data systems.
Create, manage, and execute detailed test cases and test data based on business and functional requirements.
Develop and automate test scripts using Python or Robot Framework.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate functional specifications into test scenarios.
Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity in relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres).
Analyze requirements for testability, coverage, and scope.
Contribute to Agile sprint testing efforts across cross-functional teams.
Use tools like JIRA to track issues, report bugs, and manage testing progress.
Follow QA best practices and ensure compliance with test methodologies and quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of experience in ETL, DW, and BI testing.
1–2 years of experience with test automation scripting (Python preferred).
Proficient in SQL and familiar with RDBMS like Oracle, MSSQL, or Postgres.
Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, pipelines, and data flows.
Familiarity with AWS cloud services is preferred.
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
Experience in Agile environments and proficiency with tools like JIRA.
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
