As a Senior Quality Engineer – Test Automation Specialist, you will champion quality from the ground up by embedding automation and testability into every stage of development.
You will work on cutting-edge technologies to improve software quality, performance, and reliability while guiding teams to build scalable test frameworks.
This role demands deep automation skills, thought leadership in quality practices, and a strong passion for mentoring engineering teams.
Lead the shift-left quality movement by embedding testability into development processes from the start.
Drive the adoption of TDD, BDD, and smart automation strategies across teams.
Mentor developers on building testable, high-quality code and better testing practices.
Design scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks for microservices, APIs, and cloud platforms.
Collaborate across teams to improve the engineering squad’s overall quality mindset.
Optimize CI/CD pipelines using automated test integrations to eliminate manual steps.
Conduct performance, reliability, and security testing to ensure robustness under all conditions.
Identify and eliminate flaky or unreliable tests to enhance automation effectiveness.
Stay updated on testing trends and introduce innovative approaches in quality engineering.
Work across teams to embed quality best practices in all stages of the SDLC.
8–14 years of hands-on experience in software automation testing.
Deep expertise in test automation tools and frameworks including Java, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, RestAssured, and API/Microservices testing.
Strong knowledge of TDD, BDD, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure testing practices.
Experience in building and scaling automation frameworks in distributed systems.
Excellent mentoring and coaching skills to guide teams on quality-first development.
Strong experience in database testing, performance testing, and security validation.
Collaboration skills to work with leadership, product teams, and developers in fostering a quality-driven culture.
Proficiency in DevOps, Azure cloud, and microservices contract testing.
Prior experience building a quality-first engineering culture.
Exposure to AI-driven test automation for enhanced productivity.
Experience in telecom domain (OSS/BSS) is a plus.
Understanding of security testing and AI validation practices.
Experience with load testing at scale for APIs and applications.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
