Role Overview:
Telstra is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Vlocity CPQ to join its high-performing Salesforce Engineering team. This role is focused on developing, designing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce and Vlocity-based CPQ (Configure Price Quote) solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise across Salesforce and Vlocity platforms and will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of high-impact CRM capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with functional teams to implement scalable and high-performance Salesforce + Vlocity CPQ solutions.
Lead the design, configuration, and development of Salesforce CRM using Apex, LWC, Visualforce, and SFDX tools.
Provide technical governance, code reviews, and mentoring across engineering teams.
Design provisioning solutions and integrations between CRM and backend systems.
Troubleshoot and maintain Vlocity CPQ configurations including products, promotions, pricing, and quotes.
Develop and deploy OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Calculation and Integration Procedures in Vlocity.
Own end-to-end technical delivery and coordinate with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Monitor, configure, and support Vlocity package upgrades and deployments.
Document solution architectures and provide training for team members.
Ensure the CRM solution aligns with cloud architecture, enterprise security, and best practices.
Technical Requirements:
Hands-on expertise in Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL, Salesforce APIs).
Deep experience in Salesforce integration, provisioning logic, and CI/CD (Salesforce DX, Git, Jenkins).
Advanced knowledge of Vlocity CPQ components like OmniScript, DataRaptor, Calculation Matrix, Integration Procedures, and Product Catalog.
Experience with digital commerce APIs and troubleshooting Vlocity issues.
Strong coding foundation with understanding of RDBMS, SQL, XML, and JSON.
Knowledge of Salesforce security, provisioning workflows, and cloud-native architecture.
Salesforce certifications (Developer / Architect / Vlocity) are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in Java, .NET, or JavaScript-based technologies.
Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS platform architecture.
Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML5, JQuery, CSS.
Excellent verbal and written communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with enterprise-scale Salesforce deployments and high-availability architecture.
