Job Summary
Sensia, the world's first fully integrated oilfield automation solutions provider, is seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer for its Pune office (hybrid model). In this role, you'll collaborate with developers and product owners to perform functional testing, regression testing, and post-release validation, ensuring software excellence from development to deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze system specifications and user stories.
Design, write, and execute test cases based on product requirements.
Conduct functional and regression testing across various systems and devices.
Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to define test strategies and plans.
Log test phases and document defects with clear steps and evidence.
Report bugs and issues to development teams and assist in reproducing them.
Participate in post-release testing and production validation.
Simulate/test system behavior with mock or real-time data inputs.
Ensure end-to-end quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle.
Troubleshoot and support during defect resolution and testing feedback cycles.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
4–6 years of experience in software QA/testing.
Strong knowledge of manual testing, functional testing, and regression testing.
Experience working closely with cross-functional Agile teams.
Ability to design clear, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and cases.
Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
Experience logging and tracking bugs, collaborating with developers on fixes.
Understanding of SDLC and software release processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
