Role Overview
Mastercard’s Data & Services team is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead engineering projects for Business Intelligence (BI) platforms. This role involves managing large-scale, analytics-driven initiatives leveraging Mastercard datasets and advanced analytics frameworks. The ideal candidate will bring strong program management expertise combined with technical acumen to drive delivery excellence across multiple scrum teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead large-scale projects and complex assignments with broad scope and strategic impact.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, evaluate ROI, and assess risks and constraints.
Conduct research on upcoming technologies and propose integration strategies and roadmaps.
Define technical requirements, estimate costs/timelines, and manage project scope effectively.
Define quality metrics, enforce best practices, and ensure high delivery standards.
Oversee multiple Agile/SAFe teams, facilitating all Agile ceremonies and ensuring steady project progress.
Build deep technical understanding of product architecture to provide hands-on guidance when necessary.
Track and resolve critical issues and customer concerns efficiently.
Represent scrum teams in technical and stakeholder meetings.
Assist stakeholders in making balanced decisions based on business goals, technical feasibility, customer experience, and scalability.
Identify and remove blockers and ensure consistent team alignment and performance.
Technical Requirements
Proven experience managing complex software engineering projects with end-to-end ownership.
Strong background in Agile/SAFe methodologies and leading distributed scrum teams.
Sound understanding of BI platforms, analytics, and enterprise data ecosystems.
Exposure to modern technology stacks, cloud platforms, and scalable architectures.
Ability to deep dive into technical topics and provide actionable inputs or resolutions.
Strong familiarity with engineering quality practices and performance tracking.
Ability to define and manage technical roadmaps, risk frameworks, and dependencies.
Excellent understanding of software delivery lifecycles and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, CI/CD pipelines).
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of data platforms, analytics frameworks, and visualization tools.
Prior experience with Business Intelligence solutions in a global enterprise.
Experience in managing cross-functional and remote engineering teams.
Certification in Agile/SAFe/PMI/PMP preferred.
