Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our Automation team. This role focuses on data pipeline testing in cloud environments and demands a strong understanding of data quality metrics, cloud tools, and test automation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform testing of data pipelines and data workflows in cloud-based environments.
Ensure data quality by validating metrics for both batch and streaming data.
Collaborate with engineering teams to define and execute test strategies.
Design and implement automated test scripts in Python.
Analyze issues and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
Work with large-scale datasets using Kafka, Hive, Parquet files, and Snowflake.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing frameworks and best practices.
Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
3 to 6 years of experience in data pipeline testing, preferably in cloud environments.
Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform services, especially BigQuery.
Hands-on experience with Kafka, Hive, Parquet files, and Snowflake.
Expertise in data quality testing and metrics computation.
Excellent Python programming and automation skills.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
