Job Summary
Medpace is seeking a full-time Information Security Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for a technical, security-focused individual who is eager to learn, proactive, and capable of managing projects independently. As a key member of our Information Security team, you will help protect our digital infrastructure, including infrastructure, cloud, edge devices, and data from unauthorized access, modification, exfiltration, or damage. Responsibilities
- Security Engineering: Develop and implement security solutions autonomously while collaborating with internal departments and external vendors.
- System Analysis: Analyze security systems and continuously seek improvements.
- Vulnerability Management: Research vulnerabilities, perform vulnerability scanning, and address threats.
- Best Practices: Enhance security best practices and policies within the organization.
- Process Development: Create new processes, provide cross-training to coworkers, and assist employees with security-related matters.
- Training: Conduct security awareness training and testing for employees to ensure adherence to security protocols.
- Incident Response: Perform cybersecurity incident triage, review logs, and manage remediation activities.
- Access Management: Review and reduce inappropriate or over-provisioned access to ensure least privileged access.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Prior internship or co-op experience in Information Security.
- Skills:
- Understanding of security best practices and implementation at a business-wide level.
- Experience with enterprise-grade security solutions, including SIEM, Privileged Access Management/Identity Access, Endpoint Detection & Response, cloud architecture (Azure/AWS), and Active Directory.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Fundamental scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.
Nice to Have
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus and Tenable.
- Knowledge of enterprise web proxy solutions, web filters, and VPNs (e.g., Zscaler).
- Experience with Windows environment governance, including Group Policy Objects (GPO).
- Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, financial, or defense) with standards like ISO, NIST, HIPAA, and/or SOC2.
- Experience with auditing and policy writing.
