Supporting Research IT: Develop and deliver informatics services for biomedical and clinical research projects within UW Medicine's National Alzheimer’s Coordination Center (NACC) and partner organizations.
Enhancing Operational Support: Improve mission-critical systems to enhance NACC’s ability to support researchers effectively.
Documentation Management: Develop and maintain technical documentation to facilitate collaboration within the NACC team.
Stakeholder Relationships: Build strong relationships by understanding software needs, practices, and strategic initiatives.
Advanced Level Software Solutions: Participate in designing and delivering advanced-level software solutions aligned with stakeholder objectives.
Collaborative Planning: Collaborate in planning, designing, executing, and transitioning systems to support research in healthcare.
UW Medicine IT Services supports all entities within UW Medicine, including medical centers, clinics, and research institutions, aiming to enhance patient care, research, and education through IT services and applications.
UI/UX Development: Collaborate with NACC Solutions Development Team to design and develop user interfaces for data search and access tools using modern web technologies.
Scalable Solutions: Design and implement scalable front-end solutions to ensure high performance and responsiveness.
Component Development: Create reusable UI components and libraries to maintain consistency across applications.
Data Visualization: Implement advanced data visualization techniques using libraries like D3.js or WebGL for presenting complex datasets.
Security and Compliance: Design and implement user authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms to protect sensitive data and comply with security standards.
Consulting and Training: Act as a biomedical informatics consultant, supporting researchers in accessing and utilizing clinical data effectively. Provide training to end-users on new resources.
Integration Support: Evaluate and provide configuration support for integrating third-party tools with existing systems.
Technical Support: Address technical design issues and provide support related to Research IT software, ensuring system availability, reliability, and performance.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on UI/UX trends, best practices, and technologies.
