Join IBM Software as a UI/UX Software Developer and be a part of our innovative IBM Security Verify product. As a front-end specialist, you will design and develop secure, scalable, and engaging user experiences for Identity and Access Management (IAM) use cases. Work in a global agile team using modern technologies like React, TypeScript, and REST APIs to deliver solutions that secure access across cloud and hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop responsive, reusable UI/UX components using React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS/SASS.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product managers to build intuitive experiences for administrators and end users.
Work with design tools and systems like Sketch or InVision to translate prototypes into functioning components.
Implement microservice API integrations for dynamic content rendering.
Ensure visual quality, consistency, accessibility, and performance across the user interface.
Write clean, testable JavaScript and maintain robust UI architecture.
Participate in agile practices including daily standups, code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of experience in frontend development using modern JS frameworks (React, Angular).
Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SASS.
Experience building component libraries and working with design redlines/prototypes.
Strong understanding of REST APIs and JSON data handling.
Familiarity with agile development, version control (Git), and automated testing.
Clean UI/UX design thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaborative team spirit.
Preferred Skills
Hands-on experience with React + TypeScript.
UI testing and accessibility implementation.
Experience with Web Security, API security, and responsive grid layouts.
Knowledge of Java microservices and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Travis.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other cloud-native technologies.
Exposure to data visualization and localization/internationalization.
