Job Overview
We’re looking for a highly skilled Node.js Software Development Lead to architect, build, and maintain scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on expert in Node.js, JavaScript, cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS), and DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and develop robust and scalable backend systems using Node.js.
Lead backend team development efforts while mentoring junior developers.
Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Design and maintain RESTful APIs, system integrations, and database schemas.
Conduct rigorous code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
Solve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and deployment challenges.
Utilize AWS cloud services for deployment, scalability, and infrastructure management.
Implement DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
Use Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
Required Skills and Experience
8 to 12 years of backend development experience using Node.js.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript/ES6 and Node.js frameworks such as Express.js, Hapi.js, Sails.js, or Koa.js.
Proficient in asynchronous programming, callbacks, promises, and error handling.
Experience with templating engines like EJS or Jade.
Familiar with SASS or other CSS preprocessors for server-side styling.
Basic understanding of HTML5 and CSS3 for full-stack collaboration.
Strong grasp of security and accessibility standards.
Experience with authentication/authorization across distributed systems.
Ability to integrate multiple databases and APIs into a unified backend system.
Familiarity with scalable application architecture and multi-platform optimization.
Proficient in creating and managing SQL and NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB.
