Meet the Team

  1. The team is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of Cisco NFVIS (Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure Software) built on Linux KVM technologies.

  2. NFVIS enables lifecycle management of both Cisco and third-party virtual machines and containers.

  3. It is deployed on Cisco custom hardware platforms such as ENCS, c8200-ucpe, c8300-ucpe, and UCS-C series general compute hardware.

  4. NFVIS can be provisioned through Cisco SD-WAN orchestrator or via a local NFVIS GUI.

  5. The team has full ownership of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and image release management with security compliance.

  6. It engages directly with key customer accounts to ensure smooth feature adoption and deployment.

  7. The team collaborates with other Cisco ecosystems including SDWAN, Thousand Eyes, Security, Hardware, Compute, and Collaboration teams.


Your Impact

  1. As a Software Development Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and release of software features in an agile environment.

  2. You will provide technical direction, ensure code quality, and deliver scalable solutions.

  3. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and meet customer needs.

  4. You will mentor team members and contribute to architectural decisions and planning.


Minimum Qualifications

  1. Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in software development and system design.

  2. Expertise in Linux, with a deep understanding of Kernel and virtualization technologies including qemu, libvirt, and kvm.

  3. Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, JUnit for backend development.

  4. Strong knowledge of JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks like Angular and React.

  5. Good understanding of networking protocols such as DHCP, Bridges, and VLAN.

  6. Strong experience in scripting and automation using Python.

  7. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems like Git and SVN.

  8. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  1. Ability to lead cross-functional teams in developing and integrating new product features.

  2. Capable of providing technical guidance on software and system architecture.

  3. Skilled in preparing technical specifications and unit test plans.

  4. Experience in creating development estimates and project schedules.

  5. Background in build automation and scripting to support continuous integration workflows.

  1. Salary ranges for this position apply to full-time roles and vary based on location, skills, and qualifications.

  2. Benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching, life and disability coverage.

  3. Employees receive up to 12 paid holidays per year including a floating holiday and birthday leave.

  4. Vacation policies include accrual-based (non-exempt) and flexible plans (exempt).

  5. 80 hours of paid sick leave are available annually, with up to 160 hours maximum rollover.

  6. Paid emergency leave and volunteer hours are also included.

  7. Sales roles include performance-based incentive pay without a minimum threshold.

  8. Quota-based pay ranges from 0.75% to 1.5% of the incentive target depending on performance.

  9. Strategic sales goals can pay up to 125% of the incentive target.
