Role Overview:

Join Dell Technologies as a Software Engineer 2 – IT to play a critical role in transforming business requirements into robust technology solutions. You’ll work on end-to-end software development, from design to production, across complex applications that shape our digital ecosystem. Collaborate with global teams using modern DevOps and microservice architecture to drive operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and automate business applications across various functional domains.

  2. Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines with GitLab, YAML, and runners.

  3. Participate in design reviews, coding, debugging, and performance tuning.

  4. Utilize containerization tools like Docker/Kaniko and manage Kubernetes deployments.

  5. Conduct root cause analysis and resolution of integration or deployment issues.

  6. Optimize monitoring and alerting using tools like Prometheus and Grafana.


Technical Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or Groovy.

  2. Experience with Git-based workflows and DevOps practices.

  3. Strong hands-on with Kubernetes and microservices.

  4. Practical knowledge of GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, and container tools.

  5. Proven track record of troubleshooting and maintaining CI/CD efficiency.


Preferred Skills:

  1. Knowledge of cloud-native deployment practices.

  2. Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.

  3. Ability to work in a collaborative agile development environment.
