Job Summary:
Dell Technologies’ Data Protection Software Engineering (DPSE) team builds state-of-the-art software products focused on data availability and protection for On-Premise, Public Cloud, and Hybrid Cloud environments.
This role offers the opportunity to be part of an engineering team working on highly scalable and enterprise-level data protection technologies.
As a Software Engineer 1, you will work in the Pune development center contributing to innovative software solutions designed to meet customer business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop next-generation data protection products and enterprise-grade client technologies.
Participate in the architecture and implementation of complex systems, software platforms, and storage environments.
Create, review, and refine software specifications in alignment with product requirements.
Contribute to product development with an emphasis on serviceability and hardware-device interaction.
Develop and implement testing strategies to validate product quality and system reliability.
Essential Requirements:
0 to 2 years of experience in Full-Stack development or in C++/Java programming for enterprise software.
Strong grasp of software development processes including requirement gathering and functional design.
Solid programming and debugging skills with the ability to solve complex software challenges.
In-depth knowledge of operating systems and system-level programming concepts.
Desirable Requirements:
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and working in a DevOps culture.
Exposure to AI/ML, Generative AI (GenAI), and prompt engineering concepts is an added advantage.
