Job Summary
Zebra Technologies is hiring a Software Engineer II – ISV Program in Bangalore. This hybrid role focuses on supporting and enabling Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to integrate Zebra’s SDKs and products into their applications. The ideal candidate has a passion for problem-solving, SDK development, API documentation, and working closely with external developers.
You’ll work on developing SDK tools, writing technical content, and enhancing platform integration while collaborating with both internal product teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Assist external developers with integrating Zebra products into applications.
Create source code examples and develop in-depth How-to guides.
Moderate technical forums and answer developer queries.
Provide integration best practices and SDK capabilities guidance.
Develop customer-specific apps and tools to showcase SDK functionality.
Expand SDK capabilities and improve API interface usability.
Prepare and maintain high-quality documentation for code and APIs.
Keep updated with latest languages, frameworks, and integration trends.
Troubleshoot technical problems, recommend and implement fixes.
Manage multiple developer engagements and internal integration projects.
Estimate timelines and prioritize tasks effectively.
Integrate ISV applications into automated test suites for validation.
Participate in software design, coding, and testing for new modules.
Review test results, identify root causes, and resolve issues.
Perform upgrades and improvements on existing software products.
Recommend tools and solutions to improve productivity.
Collaborate across teams and occasionally with external ISVs.
Provide guidance to junior or non-exempt team members.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience (Bachelor's) or entry-level experience with a Master’s degree.
Strong understanding of SDK development and RESTful API integration.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (C++, Java, or Python preferred).
Experience working with Android or Windows mobile platforms is a plus.
Excellent written communication skills for documentation.
Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Familiarity with software testing methodologies and automated testing tools.
Comfortable working in a collaborative, agile environment.
