Job Summary
PayU Digital Labs is seeking a skilled and results-driven Software Engineer with experience in backend development, cloud environments, and microservices architecture. As a core member of the engineering team, you will contribute to building scalable, secure, and high-performance systems in a fast-paced agile environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex technical problems and is eager to work with leading technologies like Java, Python, AWS, and MongoDB.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development: Write, debug, and maintain clean, scalable code in Java and/or Python.
Software Design: Develop software architecture, implement design patterns like MVC, and create UX prototypes.
Testing & QA: Perform unit testing, integration testing, and quality assurance (manual and automated).
Deployment: Manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless software releases.
Maintenance: Optimize, refactor, and improve existing applications for performance and scalability.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, Product, and UX teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferably from top-tier institutions).
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on software development experience.
Proficiency in Java (preferred) or Python; solid experience coding with object-oriented principles.
Strong understanding of CS fundamentals—data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
Experience with AWS cloud services and scalable infrastructure.
Familiarity with RDBMS (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
Proficiency in designing and building microservices architecture.
Understanding of MVC and other software design principles.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire team members in a collaborative environment.
