1. Job Overview

The Service Cloud is a Salesforce platform designed to help organizations manage customer service and support operations. It integrates:

          Automated service processes

          AI-powered chatbots

          Unified digital and voice channels via Service Cloud Voice

The Q3 Engineering Team focuses on quality, automation tools, and engineering efficiency, acting as trusted quality advisors across engineering teams.


2. Responsibilities

  1. Lead and coordinate quality assurance efforts for high-quality software product delivery.

  2. Own complex or ambiguous product features that span multiple teams.

  3. Serve as a technical expert in validation techniques and quality standards.

  4. Drive adoption of best practices in Salesforce Development Methodology (ADM)/Scrum.

  5. Define and evolve quality culture within the organization.

  6. Plan and lead projects across multiple releases and provide guidance to junior engineers.

  7. Participate actively in design, test plan, and technical specification reviews.

  8. Proactively identify and resolve feature-level risks, dependencies, and integration issues.

  9. Lead in test strategy planning and end-to-end (E2E) integration testing.

  10. Apply deep domain knowledge in troubleshooting, debugging, and test automation.

  11. Advocate for and ensure high-quality standards across Service Cloud products.

  12. Foster collaboration, mentoring, and feedback among team members.

  13. Develop automation frameworks and mentor team members in automation practices.

  14. Track and improve automation coverage and test code health.

  15. Triage technical issues and adapt quickly to changes.

  16. Own feature-level documentation and share with other engineering members.

  17. Support test tooling (like Bento, ScratchBot, Taleggio, etc.).

  18. Contribute to innovation in automation and reliability solutions.


3. Required Skills & Experience

  1. 15+ years of relevant technical experience.

  2. Proficient in Java or similar languages (JavaScript preferred).

  3. Deep understanding of system architecture, databases, and OOP principles.

  4. Proven experience in:

       Developing test automation frameworks
       UI/API testing (e.g., Selenium WebDriver)
       CI/CD orchestration (e.g., Jenkins)
  5. Skilled in Agile methodologies, version control tools (e.g., GitHub), and SCRUM.

  6. Experience with open-source testing tools and creating applications on multiple platforms.

  7. Effective communicator and team collaborator.

  8. Strong troubleshooting, analysis, and problem-solving skills.

  9. Experience mentoring junior engineers and managing technical documentation.

  10. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

  11. Experience driving operational excellence and delivering high-impact solutions.

  12. Must pass Salesforce background check upon hire.


4. Highly Desirable Skills

  1. Automation-driven mindset: optimize code, process, and effort.

  2. Proficiency in Java with strong OOP fundamentals.

  3. UI and API test automation.

  4. Experience with:

    Selenium, Jenkins, Java-based automation
    Open-source QA tools
    Writing and maintaining unit test frameworks
     
  5. Innovative thinking and eagerness to contribute to scalable automation tools.
