Job Summary
Cognizant India is looking for a highly experienced Solution Architect (Java/.NET) to join our world-class technology team. This role demands 12+ years of enterprise-level experience in designing robust, scalable, and cloud-native solutions using either Java or .NET technologies, along with proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift, or PCF. Experience with AI/ML or Generative AI is a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to analyze requirements and develop end-to-end technical solutions.
Design and maintain detailed solution architectures, implementation roadmaps, and integration strategies.
Coordinate across multiple technology domains—cloud, data, integration, security, ERP, and AI/ML—to architect unified systems.
Rapidly understand business processes and map them to modern architecture strategies.
Lead solution implementation, from design and build through deployment and continuous improvement.
Create architecture diagrams, evaluate products, and present strategic solutions to stakeholders.
Apply design patterns and architectural best practices to build scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences clearly.
Ensure architectural alignment with preferred cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, PCF, or OpenShift).
Design multi-system integration strategies within enterprise environments.
Exhibit deep understanding of web architecture, open-source technologies, and modern security standards.
Bring expertise in both relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases for modern data architecture.
Apply DevSecOps and automation principles throughout the solution lifecycle.
Work in Agile/Iterative development environments and influence best practices across teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
12+ years of hands-on experience in Java or .NET enterprise-level development.
Expertise in one or more cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (GCP), PCF, or OpenShift.
Strong experience in at least one RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) and one NoSQL database (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
Deep understanding of web security, system integration, and open-source frameworks.
Experience in AI/ML, especially Generative AI, is a strong plus.
Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to influence across teams and levels.
Proven ability to design large-scale enterprise systems across multiple domains.
Practical knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks and iteration planning.
TOGAF or equivalent architectural certification is preferred but not mandatory.
