Job Description: SAP SD Consultant

Responsibilities:

• Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for SAP SD delivery and operations teams.
  • Provide guidance throughout all phases of SAP S/4 HANA implementations, including gap-fit analysis, configuration, build, testing, rollout, and post-implementation support.

• Functional Improvement:

  • Collaborate with teams to implement new functionalities and enhance existing ones.
  • Conduct requirement analysis and translate them into effective SAP solutions.
  • Prepare functional specifications for SD reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and conversion programs.

• Team Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with developers and SAP teams to ensure that developments and custom components align with application requirements and performance goals.
  • Fix defects and performance issues identified during testing.
  • Work with teams to prioritize tasks and drive system solutions based on business needs.

• Operational Support:

  • Manage service and incident processes, and participate in change management.
  • May be required to work on pre-defined shifts or be on standby for operations support.

• Strategic Planning:

  • Drive automation initiatives within SAP SD areas.
  • Implement best practices in SAP industry-specific solutions.
  • Develop strategic SAP roadmaps for clients, covering key topics and initiatives.

• Customer Engagement:

  • Build and manage relationships with large, global customers.
  • Identify customer needs, advise on DXC services and solutions, and drive S/4HANA transformation scenarios.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities in collaboration with account teams.
  • Interface with customers and manage all deliverables to ensure satisfaction.
  • Define and execute continuous improvement plans.

Primary Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of SAP SD functional experience, including 4 end-to-end implementations.
  • At least 2 years of experience with S/4 HANA SD, including both brownfield and greenfield implementations.
  • Proven experience in business requirements gathering, designing solutions, performing SAP configurations, and providing post-go-live support.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in preparing detailed specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and technical staff.
  • Knowledge of SAP Activate Methodology with Agile practices.
  • Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies, working with small agile teams.

• Additional Skills:

  • Ability to adapt to new frameworks and technologies for automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly integrate new concepts in information technology.

• Education:

  • Degree in BE/BTech, MSc, MBA, or MCA from a recognized institution.
  • SAP Certification is advantageous.

• Language:

  • Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
