Job Summary
Cognizant is hiring a skilled Python Developer with embedded systems experience for a full-time role in Chennai. This role involves supporting the development of build tools for EV battery simulators and BECM (Battery Energy Control Module) modules. The ideal candidate should possess strong Python scripting skills, experience with GUI creation, and knowledge of embedded electronics.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Python-based build tools for EV simulation and BECM modules.
Validate and debug Python scripts to ensure functional accuracy and stability.
Create user-friendly GUIs using Python.
Use Visual Studio and MinGW compilers for software builds and testing.
Support the EV software team in integrating tools with embedded systems.
Understand and enhance battery simulator and module features.
Document code, development processes, and testing practices.
Participate in code reviews and follow best development practices.
Troubleshoot technical issues across development and deployment phases.
Stay updated with trends in Python, embedded tech, and EV development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
4–7 years of experience in Python scripting, debugging, and validation.
Experience in GUI development using Python.
Knowledge of embedded electronics and hardware-software integration.
Familiarity with Visual Studio and MinGW compilers.
Exposure to tool development for embedded environments.
Understanding of EV technologies and MBSE frameworks.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field.
