Job Summary
Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java + ReactJS Developer with 8 to 11 years of experience to join our innovative, collaborative, and high-performing software development team. This hybrid role (remote + on-site flexibility) requires strong technical expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, SQL, and ReactJS. You’ll contribute to mission-driven software solutions that positively impact both business outcomes and society.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and SQL.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
Ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Identify and fix performance bottlenecks and software bugs.
Maintain clean, scalable, and efficient code with proper documentation.
Conduct and participate in peer code reviews to ensure best practices.
Mentor and guide junior developers in software engineering principles.
Improve and optimize the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Stay current with the latest development tools and technology trends.
Translate product requirements into detailed technical specifications.
Implement robust data protection and application security measures.
Optimize application speed and performance for scalability.
Maintain technical documentation, code versioning, and workflow tracking.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and SQL with hands-on project experience.
Strong working knowledge of AWS cloud services and deployment strategies.
Solid understanding of ReactJS for front-end development.
Familiarity with Git and other version control systems.
Proficiency in debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization.
Understanding of database architecture, design, and query optimization.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience with Agile or Scrum development methodologies is desirable.
Exposure to HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus.
Knowledge of Docker or containerized development is advantageous.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
