Job Summary
Medpace is seeking a skilled System Engineer to join our expanding Infrastructure Enterprise Applications Team. This team is responsible for administering systems that support enterprise applications used globally and for implementing programs that support the company's infrastructure business processes and operations.
Responsibilities
- Windows Server Administration: Manage traditional Windows Server systems.
- System Solutions: Design and implement system solutions for vendors, developers, and users to deliver enterprise applications.
- System Availability: Ensure the highest level of system and infrastructure availability.
- Technical Direction: Evaluate existing systems and provide technical guidance to IT support staff.
- Security Coordination: Work with the IT Security team to resolve security-related vulnerabilities.
- System Management: Monitor and manage systems and infrastructure to meet organizational requirements.
- Automation: Plan and implement system automation for improved efficiency.
- Load Balancers: Utilize load balancers for web servers and applications.
- PKI Certificate Management: Manage public key infrastructure (PKI) certificates.
- Citrix Environment: Oversee Citrix environments for desktop and application delivery.
- IT Service Management: Use ServiceNow to manage and document day-to-day work and track projects.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in Windows Server Administration.
- Familiarity with Windows Server OS, Remote Desktop Services/Remote App, Group Policy, Active Directory, and File Server/NTFS Permissions.
- 1+ years of experience in Web Hosting Administration, including DNS, Load Balancers, IIS, Apache, and SSL/TLS Certificate Management.
- Skills:
- Desire to learn and grow, with a solid foundation of experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple servers, applications, and priorities effectively.
- Effective communication skills with peers, end users, and management.
