Role Overview
Cognizant is seeking a highly experienced Mx Tech Architect with a strong background in front-end engineering, architecture, and scalable application design. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in JavaScript frameworks, architecture design, and modern front-end technologies. This is a leadership role that offers opportunities to drive innovation and build modern digital platforms at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, solutioning, and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance digital applications.
Architect and build front-end systems using JavaScript-based frameworks such as React, Angular, or Next.js.
Ensure performance optimization, component reusability, and best coding practices in the team.
Integrate with RESTful APIs and GraphQL back-end services.
Guide and implement front-end test automation strategies using tools like Jest, Cypress, Karma, or Jasmine.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, implementing CI/CD pipelines and managing Git repositories.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decision-making and code review processes.
Stay updated on emerging trends in front-end and architecture best practices.
Technical Requirements
1. JavaScript-Based Frameworks (React / Angular / Next.js)
Experience Required: 7+ Years
Expertise in building large-scale SPAs, reusable components, and optimized frontend architecture.
2. Application Design & Solutioning
Experience Required: 3+ Years
Proven ability to architect complex, secure, scalable digital applications.
3. Front-End Technologies
Experience Required: 3+ Years
Strong command over JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and tools like Webpack, Babel, etc.
4. API and Back-End Integration
Experience Required: 5+ Years
Proficient in integrating with RESTful services, GraphQL, and implementing robust communication layers.
5. Front-End Testing
Experience Required: 5+ Years
Familiarity with UI testing frameworks: Jest, Cypress, Karma, Jasmine.
6. DevOps & Agile
Experience Required: 5+ Years
Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban).
