Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Test Engineer with expertise in Tosca Testsuite – Test Automation to ensure the quality and reliability of our software platforms. This role involves developing and executing test cases, automation frameworks, and driving excellence in quality assurance for enterprise-grade applications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Test Planning and Design
Analyze business requirements and convert them into testable cases.
Prepare detailed test plans based on functional and non-functional requirements.
Utilize model-based testing methods for efficient and reusable test generation.
Define testing scope, criteria, and in/out boundaries for each test cycle.
Review and validate test cases with peers to minimize rework.
Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure alignment with business goals.
2. Automation and Execution
Develop and implement automated test frameworks using Tosca Testsuite.
Design automated test scenarios across GUI, backend, and service layers.
Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and schedule execution.
Set up test environments and ensure clean test data management.
Maintain traceability of defects, test cases, and their execution outcomes.
Automate repetitive QA tasks using VB macros and scripting tools.
3. Defect Management and Reporting
Detect, log, and track defects with detailed replication steps.
Generate defect reports, highlighting severity, root cause, and resolution timelines.
Ensure defect metrics comply with project/account-specific norms.
Provide prompt feedback on product usability, performance, and risks.
Create and share dashboards with stakeholders after each test cycle.
4. Customer Interaction and Reporting
Communicate clearly with customers via email, reports, and calls regarding test status.
Submit timely WSRs (Weekly Status Reports), defect logs, and summary dashboards.
Update test effort logs and status in systems like eCube, TMS, and internal trackers.
Respond promptly to all client requests without escalation.
Maintain high standards of professional communication and etiquette.

Education

Knowledge of UAT, VB macros, and dashboard/report generation
